  • Thya is a great parent coach for me. She amazingly guided me to rebuild the better relation with my 9-year-old daughter and rest of my family. Especially Thya is great for giving me a lots of great questions to reflect the reasons why I choose to do it (or not) and encourage me to think how I can solve the problem by myself. Throughout the coaching session, I find out I need the strong will to continue once I decide and need to accept the child’s feeling especially when I am in busy and feel stressed. Lastly I am Japanese, taking this session from Singapore, her English is very clear to communicate with, totally recommend for non-English speakers as well!

  • Thya was a wonderful listener and was very insightful, helping me discover solutions to some of my toughest parenting issues. When we started our sessions, I felt trapped in a cycle of power struggles and conflict. Through our conversations, we uncovered new, more effective communications strategies and I found a new appreciation and understanding for my children (and my spouse.) Her teaching style, coupled with her warmth and manner, all contributed to our family thriving and a new found peace in our home. For that I will always be grateful.

  • Parent Coaching was a foreign concept to me. I'd heard about counseling, I'd been in counseling, my son had been in counseling. Counseling was familiar and had great respect for that process. A Parent Coach? What on earth was that? As I was lamenting on the trials of parenting a teenager, and hoping that I would actually make it through these years, a dear friend mentioned Thya and her mission to help parents delve deeper and do better. I wanted that! What an amazing journey we had through the weeks. I learned to analyze my approach to parenting, appreciate my kids, appreciate myself as a mother and person, forgive myself as a mother and person. It was a great learning experience. I realized that the concepts I worked on with Thya were ones that made me a better parent and person. There was no way that I could truly work with Thya and not see my whole life improve. I must say: the AHA! moments were some of my favorites; the times when I saw myself, my motives more clearly. If I could describe this experience in one word it would be empowering. I came to believe and act like I had what I needed within to delve deeper and be better. I AM better for this experience.

  • Working with Thya as a parent coach:
I recently had the opportunity to work through a 12 week parent coaching program with Thya and am ever grateful! We began the program doing a lot of discovery where together we established the current reality. The following phases we went through set the groundwork for change. Now, when I say change you might interpret that to mean that there was some magical change in my children, that perhaps my reality at home was amazingly transformed into a blissful haven. That wasn’t the case. When I say change what I mean is that I got to change.
As Mahatma Gandhi “Be the change you want to see in the world”, I got to be the change that I wanted to see in my home. Here is the most significant thing I learned in the coaching process: my changes bring about changes in others. As I learned to parent in a productive and positive way, my kids definitely responded. That blissful haven I mentioned above, well, I cannot with all honesty say that it is my reality, but my home life is much closer to a haven than it was 13 weeks ago!
Beyond learning to change myself I also gained tools that I can use again and again with my family to bring about more change, more positive relationships, more bliss. My advice: invest in your family and take the time and energy to work through this program. You may need to change your habits and it may be hard, but in the end that hard work and time and energy you invest is well worth it. The value of having great relationships with your children now will pay off for years to come.

  • “Before talking with you I was at a loss, not knowing what to even say. Since I’ve been working with you there have been improvements! My son is no longer having daily meltdowns”!
